Review from Kate Lockwood resident English teacher Chances4cambodia Girls Power House Phnom Penh Cambodia.

 Date: January 17, 2016

 From: United Kingdom

I stayed in the house for about 6 weeks and taught English for three hours a day. The women I taught and lived with were  extremely kind, generous, smart and hard-working. It was a very immersive experience as I was sharing a room with the  students and I learnt a lot about Khmer culture. We had lots of interesting discussions and fun socialising together at the  mall, night market or karaoke!

Steve was very welcoming and picked me up from the airport and gave me a phone to use during my stay.

The house is located around twenty minutes tuk tuk ride from the centre of Phnom Penh and in an area that doesn't have  many tourists so there's a real opportunity to see Cambodia beyond the tourist attractions.

The classroom has a whiteboard and pens and there's also a copy shop 5 minutes walk away that provides low cost  printing and photocopying which I found useful. There is also a great swimming pool within two minutes walk which is  perfect for cooling down! There's also a bustling market nearby which has lots of things and is a cultural experience in  itself!

I was very sad to say goodbye to my 29 Khmer sisters and will always treasure the wonderful experiences I had at  Chances4Cambodia.
